FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

March Break Animation Camp
9am – 3pm, March 11 -15, 2024

[North Bay, ON, February 13th, 2024] Are you looking for a super fun and exciting way for your kids to spend March Break? Look no further than Digital Creator North Bay’s March Break Animation Camp, happening at our awesome creator space in the Capitol Centre, March 11th-15th, from 9AM to 3PM. Kids aged 11 and up can let their creativity run wild and make awesome animation. And on Tues, Wed and Thurs, kids can join our regular programming for free from 3pm – 7pm.

Our super cool program facilitator is a pro at teaching young creatives how to draw their own characters and bring them to life through animation! They will experience hands-on learning, experimentation, and creative expression on a digital canvas! During their time at camp, they’ll be learning many forms of digital animation including Stop Motion, Rotoscoping, 2D drawn animation, and 3D modeling animation. They’ll have fun creating their own characters and stories while learning about character design and storyboards. They will craft stop motion worlds with their own two hands and watch them come to life. We will help them expand their technical knowledge of 3D programs like Blender and Tinkercad to design 3D models and we’ll nurture their illustration skills on our iPads, using 2D software to turn frames into moving pictures!

They’ll get to print out prints of their artwork, and we’ll email their animations home so they can show them off to friends and family! We even have a 3D printer to turn their 3D model masterpiece into a real object to take home!

The cost for the entire week is just $250, and we’ll provide all the materials they need. Just make sure they bring their imagination and a packed lunch! Don’t miss this chance to help your kids learn amazing new creative skills, make friends, and have the best March Break ever.
